How Much Does Financial Coaching Cost?2026-08-21T17:16:50+00:00

If you’re wondering how much financial coaching costs, the honest answer is: it depends on where you’re starting. Here’s what financial coaching costs at Your Money Project, broken down by offer.

Discovery Session — $397

One 90-minute deep dive into your full financial picture. This is a great low-commitment way to get clarity on your numbers and a real plan, without signing up for anything ongoing. [Learn more about how I help.]

90-Day Clarity and Confidence Program — $1,497

Split into three payments of $499, or $1,272 if you pay in full. This is where most people land when they’re feeling lost and want real, lasting change. It includes six private coaching sessions, a custom spending plan, and everything you need to actually run your own system. See what’s included in the 90-Day Program.

Ongoing Coaching — starting at $247/month

$247/month with no commitment, or $297 per session if quarterly check-ins fit your life better. Built for clients who’ve done the work and want to keep the system sharp.

What if none of these feel right?

Every financial situation is a little different. If the cost of financial coaching above doesn’t feel like quite the right fit, let’s just talk. We’ll figure out what actually works for you and your budget.

What’s the difference between the Q&A Session and the Discovery Session?2026-08-21T17:39:36+00:00

Good question, these get mixed up a lot.

The Q&A Session is a free, 20-minute call. No pitch, no pressure. It’s just a conversation to see if we’re a good fit before you spend any money at all.

The Discovery Session is a different thing entirely. It’s a paid, 90-minute deep dive into your full financial picture, income, expenses, timing, the works. You leave with real clarity and real next steps, whether we work together after or not.

Think of it this way: the Q&A Session answers “should I do this?” The Discovery Session answers “here’s exactly where my money stands.” Book a Q&A Session if you’re not sure yet, or head straight to the Discovery Session if you already know you’re ready to dig in.

Do I need to have my finances figured out before I start?2026-08-21T17:43:07+00:00

Do I need to have my finances figured out before I start?

No. Honestly, the opposite.

Most people come to me because their finances feel like a mess they can’t untangle alone, not because they’ve already got it handled. If you had it figured out, you wouldn’t need a coach.

Clarity comes before confidence, not the other way around. You don’t need clean books, a perfect system, or even the courage to open your bank app without flinching. That’s exactly the work we do together.

Show up with what you’ve got, however messy it is. That’s enough to start.

I don’t have a steady paycheck. Can this actually work for me?2026-08-21T17:46:05+00:00

I don’t have a steady paycheck. Can this actually work for me?

Yes, and honestly, that’s who this was built for.

Most budgeting advice assumes a paycheck on the 1st and the 15th, same amount, every time. If your income doesn’t work that way, that advice was never going to work for you. Not because you’re bad with money. Because the math was wrong from the start.

Budgeting with variable income isn’t about forcing yourself into a steady-paycheck mold. It’s about building a system that flexes when your income does, so a slow month is something you planned for, not something that blindsides you.

That’s the whole reason Your Money Project exists.

What’s the difference between a financial advisor and a money coach?2026-08-21T20:03:52+00:00

A financial advisor typically manages investments and gives regulated advice on things like retirement accounts, insurance, and long-term financial planning.

A money coach works on the layer underneath that: the habits, systems, and behaviors around your day-to-day money. How you budget when income moves. How you build a savings strategy without guilt. How you actually stick to a plan instead of abandoning it by week three.

You don’t have to choose one or the other forever. Plenty of my clients have both, an advisor handling their investments, and me handling the system that makes sure there’s actually money to invest in the first place.

How is this different from a budgeting app or generic budgeting advice?2026-08-21T20:07:47+00:00

Budgeting apps are built for the average case: a steady paycheck, predictable expenses, categories that assume your income shows up the same way every month.

If that’s not your life, the app isn’t broken. The assumption underneath it is.

Money coaching is different because it’s not a tool, it’s a relationship and a system built around your actual numbers, your actual timing, your actual goals. An app can categorize your spending. It can’t tell you what’s safe to spend three months from now when you’ve got a slow season coming and a big expense due.

That’s the gap this fills.

What happens after the 90 days are over?2026-08-21T20:11:49+00:00

What happens after the 90 days are over?

You keep the system. It’s yours now, that’s the whole point.

By the end of the 90-Day Clarity and Confidence Program, you’re not waiting on me to tell you what’s safe to spend. You know how to run your own plan, adjust it when life changes, and catch a slow month before it turns into a crisis.

Some clients are ready to fly solo at that point. Others want a continued check-in as life keeps changing, a new client, a big decision, a shift in income. That’s what Ongoing Coaching is for: monthly or quarterly sessions to keep the system sharp, without starting the whole process over.

Either way, you’re not starting from zero after 90 days. You’re building from a foundation that actually holds.

Do you work with couples, or just individuals?2026-08-21T20:15:46+00:00

Do you work with couples, or just individuals?

Both. Plenty of my clients come through as a couple, especially when one partner has historically handled the money and the other wants to finally be part of the conversation, or when you’re merging finances and trying to figure out what “our system” even looks like.

Financial coaching for couples works the same way individual coaching does, safety, clarity, structure, meaning, acceleration, just built around two incomes, two sets of goals, and sometimes two very different relationships with money. That last part is usually the real work.

Whether it’s just you or the two of you at the table, the goal is the same: a system you both understand and actually trust.

Let’s Get Started

Stop surviving. Start building.
Your income doesn’t have to be steady for your future to be.
