This is a picture of my friends and I gearing up for Q4.
Obviously, I’m kidding. I can’t run that fast. 😂
The picture may be a little dramatic, but this is sometimes how it feels once we hit the last 90-days of the year. I hope I’m not alone in this?
In my experience, the last few months of the year tend to speed up like a runaway train.
One minute it’s the first week of October, and the next… you’re trying to remember where you hid the holiday wrapping paper.
Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, December holidays, and a few birthdays or events sprinkled in for good measure, this season can quickly turn into a whirlwind of to-dos, spending, and emotional overload.
But here’s the good news:
This is actually the perfect time to slow down and get intentional – before the chaos kicks in.
A Season of Preparation, Not Just Celebration
Rather than letting the season control you, let’s flip the script.
Take 15–30 minutes this week to reflect, reset, and prepare – not just for the holidays, but for how you want to feel through the end of the year.
Here are a few gentle questions to help you get started:
- What do I want this season to feel like?
- What can I do now to reduce stress later?
- Are there events, traditions, or expenses I can plan for ahead of time?
- What’s really important to me and my family this year?
And yes… let’s include the fun stuff too:
- What am I (or the kids!) going to be for Halloween?
- What’s one thing I can prep or buy this week to feel ahead of the game?
Create Your Holiday Spending Plan Now
Money stress is one of the biggest energy-drainers during the holidays – but it doesn’t have to be.
Start by defining a holiday spending budget now – before the invitations roll in and the sales start tempting you. Your plan can include:
- Gifts (for who + how much)
- Travel or hosting costs
- Outfits, decorations, events
- Extra groceries or meals out
You get to decide what fits your values, your budget, and your energy – not what social media or tradition says you “should” do.
Show Up for You
You have a say in how this season goes.
You can decide, right now, to show up for yourself – not just for the holidays, but for the life you’re building after they’re over.
So instead of coasting through the rest of the year on autopilot, I invite you to ask:
“How do I want to end 2025?
What would it feel like to enter 2026 with clarity, calm, and momentum?”
This season doesn’t have to leave you feeling scattered, stretched, or stuck.
You get to choose how you show up.
You get to protect your peace, your energy, and your money.
You get to decide what matters – and let go of the rest.
So take a breath.
Take 15 minutes.
Take that small, intentional step today that your future self will thank you for.
Because how you end the year shapes how you begin the next.
And you are so capable of finishing strong.
Let’s make the last 90 days count – with intention, with grace, and with a whole lot of heart. ❤️
